About Brett Caller

With a background in competitive surfing, rugby league and triathlon’s, it’s safe to say that health and fitness has been a major priority in my life. In 2007 I complete a certificate III & IV in fitness and began my fitness journey from the perspective of the coach rather than the athlete. After a year in the industry, I quickly realised that I felt passionate about helping people achieve their goals however I knew my knowledge was limited. I then committed to a 5-year deal at Southern Cross University Lismore to complete an under-graduate degree in sport and exercise science and then a post graduate master’s in clinical exercise physiology.

In 2013 I started full time at Ramsay’s Baringa Private Hospital Coffs Harbour as a clinical exercise physiologist working in both inpatient and outpatient physical rehabilitation. I am currently in my 10th year of working for Ramsay and in that time, I have partaken in multiple professional development courses to ensure that my learning journey continues.

More

Some of these courses include – Parkinson’s disease (PD Warrior), FMA strength and conditioning, Paul Chek level 1, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) level 1, Rock tape application, exercise prescription for chronic pain, Exercise prescription for multiple sclerosis, Exercise and Polio and most recently a diploma in remedial massage.

In 2012 Momentum Exercise Physiology was started as I felt that there was a part of the Coffs Harbour community that I wasn’t able to connect with at Baringa with in those working hours. I connected with Holistic Health and Movement coach Keith Donald from “Elixir of life PT” whom has over 30 year of experience in the industry and began treating, rehabbing and coaching clients from elite sporting back grounds to post surgery achieve their goals.

Our training program is led by a team of exercise physiologists, exercise scientists and movement coaches all with a strong understanding of movement. Our therapist and coaches are all qualified allied health or fitness professionals with specific training to prescribe exercise therapy for a diverse range of clientele.
